The Philadelphia 76ers continued their excellent preseason play Tuesday night, moving to 4-0 with a 106-86 win over the Detroit Pistons.

Playing without Ben Simmons, Al Horford, and James Ennis, the big man stepped up and did what franchise players are supposed to do. Joel Embiid led the team with 24 points, adding eight rebounds. He continued his excellent free-throw shooting, connecting on 8-8 from the charity stripe.

Josh Richardson picked up some of the slack as well with 11 points, six assists, and five rebounds.

Mattise Thybulle and Furkan Korkmaz stepped into the starting lineup and responded well. Thybulle continued to be all over the court, finishing with seven points, six rebounds, and an assist. But once again he was even more impressive defensively, swiping four steals and swatting two blocks. Korkmaz chipped in 10 points, four rebounds, an assist, a steal, and a block.

Norvel Pelle was the most impressive Sixer off the bench, contributing 13 points on an efficient 6-7 from the floor. He also added four rebounds and five blocks.

The Sixers continued to be impressive defensively, holding Detroit to 32.6 percent shooting. They piled up 15 blocks and nine steals, and were dominant on the glass, winning the battle of the boards 61-42.

The team will wrap up preseason play on Friday against the Wizards before kicking off the season on October 23 against the Celtics.
