The National Constitution Center is a place you want to visit regardless of your level of interest in politics. Contrary to what some might think, the video explaining how and why the Constitution came to be is not propaganda; it states the facts even when they are uncomfortable. It highlights the problems facing the 13 Colonies and how the Constitution almost died in the crib.
It’s a fascinating exhibit for young and old alike. After the presentation on the Constitution, there’s an interactive exhibit explaining how the government works. Before leaving, the kids will love getting their picture taken with bronze statues of the Founding Fathers. It’s across the street from the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and the Benjamin Franklin Museum.
